Elon Musk says SpaceXAI will be renamed SpaceXSI
Elon Musk said in an X reply that SpaceXAI would be renamed SpaceXSI, but gave no timeline or further details about the change.
Elon Musk has said SpaceX’s artificial-intelligence unit, SpaceXAI, will be renamed SpaceXSI. Responding to a user who asked whether the name could be changed, Musk wrote: “Yes, we will make that change.”
The proposed branding replaces “AI,” or artificial intelligence, with “SI,” short for “super intelligence.” In a separate post, Musk had written: “No more AI. SI. It’s better.”
The reply confirmed an intention rather than a completed rebrand. Musk provided no implementation date or further details about possible changes to the unit’s structure or products, and SpaceXAI’s X account had not yet been renamed when the report was published.
