CHALLENGE & SOLUTION

Buying materials takes more than a simple cart.

Dimensions, quantity, payment terms and delivery shape a purchase. Product supply, preparation and seller settlement also need operational control.

Buyer journey

Review materials, choose dimensions and area, check sales terms, order and follow payments and delivery.

Supplier journey

Manage products, prices and variants, own orders, sales reports and outstanding settlement amounts.

Administrator journey

Oversee customers and sellers, control orders and payments, seller shares and marketplace content.

One order can involve multiple suppliers.

Customers place an order through one journey, while items can belong to different sellers. Each seller's order status and financial share are tracked separately. Administrators have an overall view, while sellers see their own information.

The challenge

Buying stone and building materials involves more than a photo and a quantity. Buyers need to consider materials, dimensions, area, payment terms and delivery, while suppliers manage prices, stock, orders and their financial shares. The challenge was to connect these decisions and operations in a specialized marketplace with a clear buying experience and centrally managed workflows.

Purchasing & operations flow

Payment and delivery terms follow product settings and sales policies.

AI-ASSISTED VISUAL SELECTION

See materials in your project's context before purchasing.

Buyers upload a building image and choose a stone image or catalog product. The request is processed and the output is available in their account as a visual selection aid.

The output is a visual decision aid. Final technical specifications and dimensions are reviewed in the product information.

RESPONSIBILITY & ARCHITECTURE

Building a product with coordinated user journeys.

Purchasing, supplier operations and financial management run on a shared core with role-appropriate rules and access.

My contribution

Lead Developer & Project Manager

As lead developer and project manager, I connected the customer experience, supplier panel and central administration. My work covered full-stack development, catalog and order logic, payments and installments, sales and settlement reporting, and linking image simulation to the catalog. Project management focused on coordinating these journeys and translating the materials market's specialized needs into a usable product.

Key system design decisions

Shared core, specialized experience

Dizaka builds on a shared commerce core with views and logic tailored to materials, dimensions and images.

Seller-specific data scope

Order, sales and settlement reports are scoped by seller identity. Administrators retain an overall marketplace view.

Payments separate from seller shares

Customer payments, order status and seller shares are tracked separately so receiving a payment is distinct from settling a seller's balance.

Image processing linked to products

Material images can come from the catalog. Requests, processing status and outputs remain linked to customer accounts.

PRODUCT CAPABILITIES

Specialized selection. Managed operations.

Dizaka connects material selection to real sales operations, from dimensions and images to payment, supplier orders and settlement.
